America In the Fifties by Andrew J. Dunar

The sixth chapter, People of Plenty: The Transformation of American Society, was about how people in American in that decade. Men who were in the war, came back had children,move there family to the suburbs, and brought cars. There were so many cars during the decade, it uplifted the economy, but as people move to the suburbs city's suffered.
The eighth chapter, The tube and the Big Screen, was about what people watch on television of  at the movies. Comedy show like I love lucy,but the two most watch shows, were game shows and westerns. Movies most popular among teenagers were those when the main character was a rebel.
